The Global Ham Congress has been widely successful since its first iteration, held in Cordoba in 2001. It has been effective in gathering and sharing both the advances and concerns of the industry in a single forum, with the participation of hundreds of professionals from the sector.
The 11th Global Ham Congress will be held from 8-10 June 2022 in Segovia, a historical Spanish city located in the autonomous community of Castile and León, considered one of the top ham-producing regions of our country.
Under the slogan "Ham reinvents itself in Segovia", more than 300 professionals will have the opportunity to attend the largest ham-related event in the world, where the most important innovations in techniques, production, distribution, communication and marketing for the future of the sector will be presented during the 3-day congress.
This biennial congress is the primary forum for operators from the sector, offering an analysis of the most relevant technological breakthroughs and marketing strategies—of prime importance in an era of change.
Leading experts will be given the chance to present their vision of the future of the ham sector in upcoming years. Talks will range from ham as an ingredient, to food safety or new processes and technology, and will include an analysis of the dominant domestic and international market trends.
The event will be held from 8-10 June, but the Organizing Committee of the Global Ham Congress is already holding a series of activities and presentations, allowing sector operators to take part in these ham-related events to promote a product that is both emblematic for Spanish cuisine, and a significant element of our national economy, particularly in rural areas.
This year, the 11th Global Ham Congress can be followed online, with access through Agrifood Congress.
